President of the Coffs Harbour Lions Club, Lexie Clark is proud to support the vision of creating a dedicated women’s space for our region. A retired financial adviser and former business owner, she brings strong leadership, communication and motivation skills, always aiming to spark drive and a sense of fun.​

Excited to help lead the creation of a safe women’s space in Coffs Harbour, build something unique for the community and to get hands-on with some power tools. Alex Miller has 20+ years of expertise in project management, facilitation, leadership and digital innovation.

Having retired to Coffs Harbour, Rosemary Hansen still works in the health industry and volunteers with Lions Club. Inspired by the need for safe, welcoming spaces for women, she is passionate about helping establish the Women’s Shed. With a strong belief in supporting others, instilled from growing up in a family of ten, Hansen is proud to be part of bringing this much-needed facility to life.

Proud to serve on the Women’s Shed Steering Committee, Jo Brotherton brings deep community connections and leadership experience. She has led Urunga Lions Club, serves as Vice-President of the Urunga-Mylestom Chamber of Commerce, and contributes to multiple local boards and initiatives. With a background in banking, finance and tourism, and now co-owner of Urunga’s Washing Well laundromat with her husband Peter, she combines expertise with a passion for service and community care.

Honoured to serve on the Women’s Shed Steering Committee, Maureen Shaw is driven by a passion for community and supporting others. She spent 25 years in the music industry as a business manager and co-manager for some of Australia’s biggest artists. Now based in Coffs Harbour, she ran the Twilight Food Market and volunteered at the Coffs Harbour Neighbourhood Centre, continuing her commitment to connection and care.

Jac is active in women’s health, and specialised in gender studies. She brings thoughtful analysis, strong community focus and a commitment to evidence-based impact. Jac has contributed her expertise in volunteer and advisory roles, helping frame project proposals with clear objectives, target groups and strategic alignment. Her work supports advocacy for equitable services and spaces for women, with a particular emphasis on inclusive, well-researched approaches.

Passionate about equity and social justice, Jenni Andren believes all women and children deserve access to education and opportunity. After 45 years in education across NSW, NT and WA, as a teacher, principal, consultant, lecturer and program manager, she has now retired to Bowraville. Jen is proud to bring her experience and commitment to disadvantaged communities to the Women’s Shed project, helping develop a space that fosters skills, confidence and creativity.

After moving to Coffs Harbour six years ago, Di Thompson searched for a space to practise woodworking and was thrilled to discover the Women’s Shed project. Inspired by the vision and community at the first ‘Splendour in the Shed’, she is eager to help make this inclusive, transformative space a reality. With a background in accounting, business software consulting, and teaching design and technology, Di brings both professional expertise and a passion for education.

An Urban Planner with 25 years’ experience across private practice and local government, Keiley Hunter specialises in town planning advice and development applications. As a consultant, she has worked with multiple councils to deliver strategic planning projects and environmental plans. She brings deep expertise in land development and a commitment to shaping spaces that strengthen communities.
